Last Days at Dylisglen

Big Dog
Our last weekend at Dylisglen was full of activity for everyone and very enjoyable.Saturday the OGO decided a drive into Mackay was in order so he could purchase Mrs OGO her birthday present - just a week overdue of course.  So it was a lovely drive into the big smoke and a delighted Mrs OGO returned to Dylisglen with a brand new Drizabone.  Not that I will use it here in the North but it will be great when we go on our Tassie adventure in June. To complete the "birthday package" we stopped for lunch at the DeVine Teahouse in Pinnacle for a very yummy lunch.

The afternoon at Dylisglen was full of laughter with Mr & Mrs K, along with the OGO, setting about re-building the 'girls' a new Taj Mahal.  The new chook pen was so large it needed tractor assistance to position it in the paddock on completion. But what a beautiful home for the "girls".

The Girls
Sunday morning was the obligatory trip to the Marian markets where a few new plants were purchased for Dylisglen (which took care of the OGO's morning on Monday). A delightful spit roast dinner on Sunday evening was shared with neighbours, Lizard and Jenni.

Monday was last minute preps for our departure early Tuesday morning and the visit was rounded off with dinner at the Cri in Finch Hatton.

Oh pleease can I eat it?
What a wonderful time we had at Mr & Mrs K's new found home - so sad to leave, but more memories to take with us.

Thank you both for having the OGOs for ten days visit, we hope you will have us back again many times.
